They are only asking to be provided with food. So, if we can control the price of food or rather maintain it at a level that is affordable to the people, we can maintain such other requirements like sugar. Today, sugar is going for almost Kshs200 per kilogramme, but that money does not trickle down to the farmer who is producing that sugar. That confirms the concern that a few people are determining the prices in the economy."
