"content": "First, there is no difference between Plenary and the Committee. We need to be fair to the people of Meru, just to the people of this country and do a clean job. I was listening to the debate and we were giving the country the impression that the Members of the Committee will not do a good job. That is one thing we need to avoid. If we give the impression that committees will not do a good job, it is different. I agree with the fact that we needed to have done a Kamukunji. It helps to ventilate and for Members to give their views that early. Lastly, I want to mention the fact that the issue of gender is very important. It would have been very fair to increase the number of ladies because there are issues. Her Excellency the Governor has been judged by the public. She needs the comfort of that Committee. She needs to trust it herself. That is why I was worried when we started derailing by debating Sen. Orwoba instead of debating whether we are going for Committee or not."
