    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, this is a House of records. I want to put the record straight on what Sen. Wambua has said, that the Committee on Devolution and Intergovernmental Relations has delayed in intervening in these issues. We did not delay. We moved fast and consulted the local leaders, including our Deputy Speaker, so that this issue could be solved. We were advised that the matter was being handled by local leaders and that they would inform us later. Before they completed their consultation, the matter went to court. So, we could not intervene on a matter that was in court. Since the court ruled in favour of the Governor, we could not now take that issue seriously because it has been finished by the court. The matter came again the second time and it moved very fast. With that information, I wish to request the HANSARD to be corrected. The Committee actually made all efforts. One other thing, I also commend the Senate Committee on the matter. To the Chairperson, I was watching on television and that was a wonderful session. I advise the Governor that as much as she is right, we need her to consult. The Assembly is a very important institution in her day-to-day management.
