    "content": "Mr. Temporary Chairman, Sir, I stand to support the amendment by Sen. Mumma. That is the best arrangement that resulted from the discussions we had in the morning. Members of the Committee on Justice, Legal Affairs and Human Rights discussed and we are ready to go by that amendment. As we said in the morning, the work of the Selection Panel is to select members of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). Therefore, political parties must be given a lot of space. Political parties will be given space under the Parliamentary Service Commission, where they will appoint two people. The PPLC will also bring two people. In total, there will be four people. If we agree on that, we will be in a better position than what had been proposed by the National Assembly. This side of the divide will be more than willing to support this position that has been brought by Sen. Mumma. For those few remarks, I support the amendment."
