"content": ": Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Speaker. I wonder if the country has the capacity to run the CBC. I think the whole idea was rushed. We were supposed to have time and find out the nitty-gritties, and the advantages and disadvantages. The position that we are in now is that even the task force was formed after implementing it. The problem that we have and the challenge that the parents have is the price they are paying because it is very expensive to run the CBC. On Sunday, I went around my constituency. We still have a big problem. We have many students who have not been admitted to junior secondary school because there are no facilities and proper structures. It is a very expensive exercise and parents are already feeling the burden. We have a big problem in this country. When it comes to downloading the lessons and teaching materials, it is not easy because most of our areas have not been covered with internet and electricity. We have the lower part of my constituency like Nderiot and Masamborik where there is no electricity. We need to keenly look at these challenges and make sure that if the Government wants to continue with CBC then it must ensure there is enough funding to our schools. It is clear that they do not have the structures. As Members of Parliament, we have to clearly come up and make sure that in future, such decisions are not made without considering the structures and the financial aspect of it. The idea was good but the challenge is: do we have the capacity as a country? We need to go back to the 8-4-4 system. The challenges our students are going to face is because most of them have been taken through… We have to come up with a solution that will help parents, schools and the future of those students. Thank you."
