"content": "I support the Motion because it is important and this is the time for the nation to give back to the elderly. The elderly have contributed to the economic growth of this country. Now that they are not able to work, it is important that we consider the ones at the age of 65 years and above. As it has been well stipulated by a number of Members of Parliament, we would like to discuss the modalities. In Trans Nzoia County for example, I was surprised to see elderly citizens in the street queuing to receive the money. I felt like that was an injustice to them. We should have a modality on how the money will be disbursed to the elderly. Let us not do it through the banks. Let it be done through the sub-counties or send it to their mobile telephones to enable them access their money without going through a struggle."
