"content": "Mr. Speaker Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No. 53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Labor and Social Welfare on reports Sexual Abuse in Plantations Owned by James Finlay (Kenya) Limited in Kericho and Bomet Counties. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) State steps taken by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection to address the issue of rampant sexual harassment and abuse of workers at plantations owned by James Finlay (Kenya) Limited in Kericho and Bomet Counties once and for all. (2) Cause an investigation into the conduct of the management of the Tea Company in view of the reports, outlining steps taken to punish the culprits and bring relief and compensation to the women affected."
