"content": "Therefore, this is a very critical and important Motion that will assist this country. Nandi County or North Rift Region is the source of champions. Uasin Gishu County is the City of Champions; Elgeyo Marakwet is the Home of Champions because of its high altitude. One of the biggest soft underbellies that continues to threaten the even promising and renowned athletes apart from other issues like marital issues where our athletes have problems sometimes or being killed like the Late Agnes Tirop and the rest is the challenge of doping. That is why the WADA and ADK need to up their game. We are preparing for the 2024 Athletics Champions. We do not want our integrity to be dented in the global arena. When you walk across the South and North Rift of this Republic and even in Kisii, Nyamira, Meru, and Mt. Kenya, at 4:00 am, you will meet people running and wonder whom they are. They are not night runners. That is the earliest—and I see people like Sen. (Dr) Khalwale in Nairobi having eaten very well--- You know there should be no confusion. You know there are people who eat and then run to lose weight. However, the athletes have talents that they were born with. When you go to Nyayo Stadium or see Sen. (Dr) Khalwale running in the morning, I know he is a good person. However, we should consider his region and include night running as part of the championship. This is because that one happens only at midnight. However, the one that I am talking about, the professional athletes run from 4 a.m. upwards."
