Speaker, first, I want to take this opportunity to thank all the departmental committees which appeared before us last week to bring forth the recommendations from various MDAs that they oversee. We have been working long hours to make sure that we meet this deadline. For avoidance of doubt, before I go to the main body of today’s Motion, we have been in a sprint inside a marathon. We have been working very fast, but also long hours. I am sure majority of the Members who belong to departmental committees have been in the same rush. Because law is made for man not man for the law, we have decided in one of the recommendations that we have to take consideration of BPS with the seriousness it deserves because this is one of the main elements that we handle in this House. At the outset, I want to make it very clear to all Members that one of the recommendations is to amend the PFM Act The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
