    "content": "approximately Ksh3.6 trillion, out of which Ksh2.19 trillion is going to the Executive. Approximately Ksh40 billion is coming to Parliament to cover Development Expenditure and Recurrent Expenditure. We have also allocated approximately Ksh22 billion to the Judiciary. The remainder of approximately Kshs385 billion goes to the counties. There is another element of expenditure that we call the Consolidated Fund Services (CFS), the bulk of which goes to repayment of debts – servicing our debts and especially interest rates, without factoring in net capital borrowing. In the 2023/2024 Financial Year, we are talking of an unprecedented figure of approximately Ksh991 billion. We are almost crossing the Ksh1 trillion mark in terms of the CFS, majority of which goes towards payment of interest rates. It also includes other areas like pensions and payments to commissions."
