I stand as a Member of this Committee to congratulate my Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and the Committee Members for the good work that was done in vetting these persons. I also want to thank His Excellency, the President, who is also the Chairman of this Council, for having abided to the provisions of the Climate Change Act, 2016 and forwarding the names of the nominees for vetting. I think the Committee did a good job. It did not only look at the papers that the nominees were carrying, but it also looked at their spirit and dissected their souls to understand the kind of change that they can bring to the Council."
