    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, a Question had been raised by the hon. Member for Mutito, hon. Kiema Kilonzo, seeking clarification on the criteria used in determining the amount of assistance in the proposed subsidy programme. I would like to take this opportunity to brief Parliament on the interim report of the task force on a comprehensive targeted food subsidy scheme in Kenya, which I received last week. This report will be presented to the Cabinet shortly for approval and adoption. My statement therefore is preliminary. I will address this House on the matter more comprehensively once this matter has been discussed and approved by the Cabinet."
