Senators, it is therefore my finding and I so rule, that the letter sent to me by the Senate Minority Leader, met the requirements of the Standing Orders as stipulated in Standing Order No.23 and accordingly- (1) Sen. Fatuma Adan Dullo, CBS, MP, has been validly removed as the Senate Minority Whip; (2) Sen. Ledama Olekina, MP, has been validly elected as the Senate Minority Whip and is now the Senate Minority Whip; and, (3) Sen. Edwin Watenya Sifuna, MP, has been validly elected as the Deputy Senate Whip and is now the Deputy Senate Minority Whip. I so rule. Hon. Senators, Sen. Dullo is away on parliamentary business. I have a directive to the Senate Minority Leader. The office that she occupied as the Senate Minority Whip contains her personal belongings. I do not expect after this ruling for the minority side to rush, break the door and remove or take away the belongings of Sen. Dullo. You shall wait until her return. She will open that office and given time to remove her belongings. It is only after she has removed her belongings that that office will be available to be occupied by her successor. I so direct. Let us go to the next Order."
