I rise, pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1), to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Energy, on the status of the “Last-Mile” Project in Murang’a County. In the Statement, the Committee should - (1) Provide a status report on the “Last Mile” Project in Murang’a County, outlining measures in place to revive and complete stalled projects; (2) State why the prepaid meters supplied to residents have accumulated unpaid electricity bills; (3) State measures, if any, put in place to ensure residents with electricity connection acquire meter numbers promptly; and (4) Outline the interventions and long-term plans put in place to ensure electricity connectivity to all residents of Murang’a. Thank you."
