    "content": "At this point, I would like to mention that in the year 2020, KPLC paid Ksh44 billion to IPPs who only produced 25 per cent of the electricity in this country. KPLC went ahead and paid Ksh38 billion to KenGen which had produced 72 per cent of the electricity in this country. This explains to us the high cost we incur for us to buy electricity from these IPPs."
