    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity. I want to add my voice in support of this very wonderful team. I want to start by saying that I am proud to be a member of the Tenth Parliament. I am proud to be a member of the CIOC; I am also proud that we have come this far. It is really gratifying to know that Members of this august House can speak with one voice as we are doing. I want to join my colleagues in saying that religion is not a qualification. Let us not go in that direction That is a sensitive matter, and it is going to take us to the wrong direction. Let us not even bring it up at all. We are now living with the new Constitution, and gender has been taken into the mainstream of our affairs; those ladies who have been appointed and are going to be given these positions are going to make a difference; we will see the elections of this coming year being very good. I want to tell the Members of the Commission to know that Kenyans are looking up to them. We are putting in a lot of energy and effort to make sure that we do not go back to where we were in 2007."
