    "content": "the Government acquired land from private owners and then it has refused to gazette the forest where they were taken to. This is a serious issue and I hope the Committee will move with speed to look at all similar matters of this nature and provide a report to this House as soon as possible. Mr. Speaker, Sir, we must also interrogate the performance of the Kenya Forest Service on matters to do with the de-gazettement of forests. They have been very slow and very bureaucratic. I hope the Committee will also invite Kenya Forest Service to shed light into the issue of de-gazettement as far as compulsory acquisition of private land is concerned. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I support this Petition."
