"content": "Regulations concerning the same should be put in place. To add on that, school children should not be allowed to participate in gaming. Regulations should be put on the time betting should start and its purpose must be known. Gaming should also be done in a fair way. Some people call it “jackpot.” Some people get a lot of money. Although I am not in support of the same, I acknowledge that there are those who have benefited from it. I know of one person who won Ksh200 million. Of course, he became a millionaire in a day. I believe he used the money positively. I do not know how much tax he paid out of it. Imagine out of millions or hundreds and thousands of Kenyans only one person benefits from betting. This House has to take this matter seriously. I also request the Member who has brought this Motion to the House to take it to the next level so that it does not just end up being a resolution. He should progress it to a Bill. That is how betting can be regulated. Children have dropped out of school and others have performed poorly because of time wastage. I know of children who have also been beaten for not doing their domestic work"
