    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Finance and Budget regarding the status of the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) collections over the last six months. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) State the amount of revenue collected by KRA for the period between October 2022 to March 2023. (2) Outline how much of this revenue the Government has paid out in terms of debts, both internal and external during the said period. (3) Explain the immediate plans the Government has put in place, if any, to cushion Kenyans from the current economic crisis to ensure that their basic needs are met. Thank you, Mr. Speaker Sir."
