    "content": "On the question by the Member for Wajir County, we have an elaborate plan for tree growth because the Government’s flagship project is on the 15 billion trees. For Mandera County, we have earmarked the arid and semi-arid lands because where we have the biggest space is in community forests. We have done a segmentation of this country and mapping to know where we have available land besides the Government protected forests. We have targets set out for different players because for us to achieve the 15 billion trees initiative, it is all hands on deck. My Ministry is in engagement with among other players the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) Board to request Members of Parliament that the 2.5 per cent that is earmarked for environmental conservation be expanded in scope because we are within an existential threat of the climate change and we all have to take our space in contributing to the climate action."
