"content": "Hon. Temporary Speaker, the 2019 Survey conducted by the Kenya Bureau of Statistics found out that the motorbikes and the tuktuk sectors are generating over a billion shillings to the economy of this country. It is not something that can be put aside. If you go back to the same statistics and put that one billion to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), you will generate about 3.4 per cent of the national GDP. So, you can see how this sector is growing. It closely follows the education sector which stands at 3.8 per cent, and you all know how old the education one is. If there is no stopgap measure on the control of bodaboda and three wheeled motorcycles, then we will lose track."
