Members, Standing Order 45 provides that upon receipt of notification of nomination for appointment, such nomination shall stand committed to the relevant departmental committee for consideration. In this regard, pursuant to the provisions of Standing Orders 45 and 42(3), I hereby refer the Message from His Excellency the President together with the curriculum vitae, the report of the Parliamentary Service Commission and other testimonials of the nominee to the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning in order for it to undertake the necessary approval hearings."
