    "content": "Hon. Deputy Speaker, it is high time the Kenya Fish Marketing Authority put its foot down, concentrated and targeted this particular market. We should have the foreign market being supplied by fish sourced by our farmers, fishermen and by our country other than allowing the superpowers to exploit our resources. If this was to happen, we would have foreign exchange, food security and a better balance of trade. Today as a country, we are having a problem because there is very serious pressure on the Kenyan Shilling from the dollar. You find that most of our imports are now highly priced as a result of the dollar putting pressure on our shilling. If we can look at fish farming in this country in a better and more local way, we will ensure that we tilt the balance of trade.
