"content": "really an issue that we need to address. Employers need to have a moral authority and ensure that they hold the officers to respect. One of the solutions that we need to think about is the possibility of introducing some of those into our education system so that those who go through the education system in Kenya can understand when they are being harassed. I watched a clip on social media of a leader in Tanzania - if I am not wrong - who was teaching the children what to avoid; that if they are touched in certain places, they should be able to quickly go and report. Those things start at an early age. Some of those perpetrators have been able to do this over the years. Therefore, if we can be able to teach our children to avoid this, then we will probably be able to solve it. The Computer and Cybercrimes Act prohibits the misuse of gadgets for example mobile phones. Again, I want to say that the victims of that kind of crime of circulating sexual escapades on social media are not only women. I remember a former Deputy Governor of one of our counties who was also a victim. In fact, his photos were circulated while naked on those social media gadgets, and he was being harassed. They were just people trying to extort money. Sometimes back, we saw two former Members of Parliament whose clips circulated online and now we have seen another one that is purported to belong to one of our leaders in the country. We have to be careful. With artificial intelligence (AI), the world is reaching a point where someone can tape you, use that short clip to copy your voice and present an audio that shows that it is you who is speaking. It is also going to happen with video. Going into the future, there is going to be a very serious problem, because people will be involved in sexual escapades that they did not participate in just because other people have their photographs and audio clips. Those who are quick to circulate and watch those videos are making us a sick society. We must respect people’s privacy. When you find people watching and sharing such things, those are perverts. They have no space in this country. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker."
