"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, last but not least, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1), to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Health. This is with regard to dental and optical health care treatment for Kenyans through the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) cover. In the statement, the Committee should - (1) Explain why NHIF excludes a section of its registered members from accessing dental and optical healthcare through the NHIF cover. (2) State plans, if any, put in place by the Ministry of Health to ensure all Kenyans registered with the NHIF get access to dental and optical health care treatment through the NHIF cover."
