I also congratulate the Member for Kipipiri for bringing this Statement that highlights the dire situation that our citizens find themselves in, in the Republic of Sudan. Conflicts can erupt anywhere. They are always with us all the time. However, the hallmark of a nation is the ability to go through the conflict and hold the country together. What is happening in Sudan is a classic case of historical injustice which had been swept under the carpet. They have been festering and have now erupted. It is a call to all countries within the region that whenever they have conflicts, they must make all efforts to resolve them."
