    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I rise to support this Report on the appointment of the auditor of the Auditor-General. Indeed, the question has been raised as to who audits the Auditor-General. In parliamentary democracies like ours, it is this House of Parliament that should audit the Auditor-General. Therefore, Hon. John Mbadi is recommending an auditor to audit on behalf of the House because we are the ones who oversee the Office of the Auditor-General. I appreciate the input of Hon. Mbadi with regard to the issue that has been raised by the Leader of the Minority Party. If it is true that the Report by the Senate was never adopted by that House, then that Report is mute. Therefore, we cannot peg such an adverse Report that was never approved or adopted by the House to adversely judge M/s PKF Kenya LLP as an audit firm. More importantly, is the issue that has been raised by the Chairman of PAC, Hon. John Mbadi. It is true, because I remember early 2015, we sought in this House to appoint an auditor to the Office of the Auditor-General, but we were not successful on two occasions.
