"content": " Hon. Temporary Speaker, I request that you reset my clock and preserve my time. I had said the Good Book teaches us that the Good Lord came so we may have life and life in abundance. If anyone is preaching the good gospel, they will know that the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy. This man by the name Mackenzie is a deranged criminal and must be recorded as such. No one should refer to him in anyway as a pastor. That would be sacrilegious and evil even to men of the cloth like Hon. Bishop Khamala who are practising the good ministry of the Good Lord. It will be an insult to them to be clustered together with a criminal like Mackenzie. The Bible tells us that you shall know them by their fruits. The fruits of this man are evident. So far, 90 lives have been lost and we are digging up more bodies as we go on. When I listen to the conversation in Kenya today, everybody is pointing fingers. It is easier to pass the blame. As a House, we are mandated by the Constitution to attend to all matters affecting Kenyans and resolve them. This House should not kick the can further down the road but do something. What is in our hands is the power to legislate. This House will have to rise up and start legislating on societies, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and bodies being formed in the name of churches. Hon. Temporary Speaker, we have to come up with laws that shall hold people accountable. If they are criminals, they will have to answer to the Penal Code. There is no room for hiding our heads in the sand anymore. It is not only Pastor Mackenzie doing things out there, there are people who are hiding in established churches. We know of people who call themselves bishops but steal land and money. Kiambu is a victim of people calling themselves bishops and running away with a lot of money. I would like to end it but I wish you had preserved my time because the interruption was unfair and rude. The church has to step up. The Swahili say, nazi mbovu harabu ya nzima . Even the established churches and ministries will have to stand up to condemn this act but more so clean up the act in their own churches and ministries because the faith is being lost."
