Let me begin by saying that it has been seven years of a tedious process of trying to seek the House to adopt the ratification of the Hague Conventions which began in the 11th Parliament on 22nd December, 2016, when the Cabinet approved a memo on the ratification, acceptance and assention of the three conventions. The conventions and their memoranda were tabled in the National Assembly on 4th April, 2017 and forwarded to the relevant departmental committees for review and action.
