"content": "anything. This policy will rescue them and all of us from the shame of an elderly population that is not taken care of. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I do not want to belabour this point because I know that all of us will pass this Motion unanimously because it will save us. I encourage the Ministry, as it does this, to come up with figures that will help the elderly have and maintain good shelter, as it has said in one of its objectives. The Ministry should also maintain a feeding programme for the elderly. In fact, the elderly should be members of the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF). They should be given a medical cover within this package so that they are well taken care of. With those few remarks, I support this Motion."
