"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise in support of that Petition and I would like to say two things. It is very sad that there are people in this country who have been collecting salaries for the last eight years. As per that Petition; they have not been doing any work and yet they have been drawing salaries from the Government coffers. It is a very deplorable situation and I would like to congratulate the petitioner who had brought this to the attention of this House. This brings me to my final point. I stand on the Floor of this House to ask the Attorney-General of the Republic of Kenya – who has been a Member of Parliament (MP), whom we have served together in the National Assembly (NA) before and has been a Speaker of the House – to take up an audit of these laws and some of the bodies that have been formed under the laws, so that we do not have these wastages. Measures to remedy the situation should be put in place, when these people or the various boards are discovered. I support this Petition."
