Remember we are dealing with a Motion on appointment of a commissioner that is timed by law, over which we have to make a decision. Remember also that when we passed the Standing Orders allowing Cabinet Secretaries to come to the House, the substantive Speaker directed that Committee Chairpersons can also pick some of these Questions and even those that are not asked. That is so that they can deal with them on committees’ own motion, before the committees.
