Kenya has done very well from 2013, when we had 2.3 million electricity connections, to today where we have 8.5 million plus connections. It is a significant move. We laud the establishment of REREC, which was a principle to optimise a transformer. You recall that previously, a connection would cost as high as Ksh150,000, and we brought it down to Ksh15,000 under the Last Mile Connectivity Programme.
