    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I also rise to support this Petition by one Ms. Ruth W. Kabui. It is many years down the line for these teachers to be compensated. From 1996 to 2010 is a long time. There must have been many attempts to intervene on behalf of these teachers. The other time, we were discussing about teachers who had marked exams and were yet to be compensated, while the students who performed well reported in schools, and life definitely moved on as usual. While I share their frustrations, we need to accord not just teachers, but other professionals who volunteer their service to this country. Mr. Speaker, Sir, such might demoralize other young people who aspire to join these professions. I am a product of the teachers from my village in Kenyenya. It is because of the efforts that those teachers put that I can now represent other young people who aspire to be leaders of this country to come to this honourable House. I join other Senators in supporting this Petition, which deserves attention. I thank you."
