    "content": "Cotton has been part of our academic journey. Many of us have been educated as a result of the proceeds of cotton. If it was not for cotton, perhaps the first or second generation after colonialism and arrival of the church in our region, would not have made it to school. This is because their parents would not have been able to afford the school fees."
