I rise to contribute to the Statement by the nominated Senator from Kericho on the need to enhance the growing and marketing of tea through more centres. I want to comment on the structure of the Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food Authority (AFFA) of 2013, which consolidates the law on the management of crops and was enacted at the same time as the Crops Act of 2013. I wish to state that there is a need for the Government to ring-fence the administration of AFFA because it deals with several crops, including tea, coffee and sugarcane. The board that is established under Section 6 of the Act has the roles that go to questions and that speak to the Statement read in the House today. The board of AFFA"
