    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order 53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Education on the establishment of a public teacher training college in Kirinyaga County. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) Explain the reasons the Government has not established a public teacher training college in Kirinyaga County despite establishing many such colleges in other counties. (2) State key considerations made by the Government before establishing a public teacher training college in a county. (3) Spell out measures, if any, that the Ministry of Education has put in place to establish a public teacher training college in Kirinyaga County, stating whether funds for the same will be provided in the 2023/2024 Financial Year Budget."
