(2) Provide details of guidelines formulated and implemented by Kitui County and the NEMA in relation to sand harvesting, with a specific focus on managing and mitigating the impact of sand harvesting on the environment of the host communities. (3) State measures being taken by Kitui County and the NEMA to carry out regular monitoring and inspections in order to guarantee compliance with environmental regulations regarding sand harvesting. (4) Recommend measures to stop illegal sand harvesting in Kitui County and the country at large, including ensuring illegal harvesters are brought to book."
