The way it is put, someone can correctly interpret that they must be having 10 years’ experience in law, environmental management and economics. The only thing it says is: “or any other related field.” This is what was worrying Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale when he said these qualifications may lock out his people from his gold-mining area. I want it to be on record that any of these should be understood to mean that they qualify, if they have the degree and they have 10 years’ experience in law or 10 years’ experience in environmental management and those other listed areas."
