If from a layman’s point of view, I was to make the Budget for this country, there are three things that I will place emphasis on. First is food, second is debt, and the third one will be a social service that we call education. I am rising to support the Budget Estimates because of the allocation that has been given on education. It is appalling that there is a big crisis in the education sector. The sector is rotting and services are down. Last week I was amazed. In my constituency, I got students in Form One who cannot read and write. The education sector is in a crisis.
