First, I want to bring to your attention that under Article 94(4) of the Constitution where Parliament means the National Assembly and the Senate: “Parliament shall protect this Constitution and promote the democratic governance of the Republic.” In the Senate, we have Senators representing the 47 counties. The interests of the 47 counties are fully at stake any time one of the Senators elected from any of the counties is denied an opportunity to fully represent the people who sent the Senator to Parliament to represent them.
