Senators, as the application of Standing Order No.51(A) evolves, more Questions are being filed and the Senate may run a risk of a high number of Questions pending to be answered by the conclusion of the Second Session in December, 2023. For this reason, at a special sitting of the SBC held on Thursday, 15th June, 2023, the Committee resolved to vary the criteria for scheduling Questions. Effective 28th June, 2023, the Committee will prioritize and schedule all Questions addressed to a relevant Cabinet Secretary, while maintaining the principle that not more than three Cabinet Secretaries will appear before the Senate."
