    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I rise pursuant to Standing Order No. 53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Roads, Transportation and Housing on the status of construction of an abattoir in Segel Area in Marsabit County. In the Statement, the Committee should - (1) Explain how the project for the construction of an abattoir in Segel was tendered for, providing details of the number of bids received, contractor who won the award, the bid amount, initial price variation and actual price variation. (2) Report on the source of funding for the project indicating the contribution if any, by the County Government of Marsabit and any other donor to the project. (3) Provide a comprehensive update on the current status of the project completion, including an in-depth explanation of the factors leading to the delay in the construction. (4) Outline the actions taken to revive the construction efforts and guarantee the timely completion of the project, thereby, avoiding any additional delays. Thank you."
