    "content": "We, therefore, have an injection of capital to do large-scale mechanized agriculture. We are getting many people coming. We hope that within the next one or two years, we are going to bend the curve in terms of reliance on these imports, so that we can also be self-sufficient. I expect that as we continue to harvest the benefits from Thiba Dam in Mwea Irrigation Scheme, productivity will also go up. So, better yields, more inputs like fertilizer, more water for irrigation and, in fact, putting more land under agriculture, are efforts that the Government is making to ensure that we bridge the gap between supply, which is low and demand."
