    "content": "Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, there are Government interventions to ensure we cure this problem of lack of food. For the last four years, the country has not produced beyond 30 million bags of maize which we require. However, because of the Government interventions and the grace of God, we have had good rains and the fertilizer subsidy programme that we have been running, our projections are that we shall produce 44 million bags. This means we shall have covered our deficit by 14 million bags by the time our farmers are harvesting in the month of August."
