You notice that it is now 12.45 a.m. This is not a violation of the Standing Orders. Standing Order 30(5) reads as follows: “(5) If at the time appointed for the interruption of business, a division is in progress or a question is being put from the Chair and a division results immediately thereon, such interruption shall be deferred until after the declaration of the numbers and the result of the division.” After midnight, if we were in division, even if you went on up to 4 a.m., it will remain legitimate."
