    "content": "In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) provide a report detailing the nature of ownership and registration of land occupied by the irrigation schemes in Kisumu County, especially in Ahero, Gemrae, Ombwei, Seme, Kisian, Chiga, Nyamdhoe, Kasiru Kolal, Ahero Extension, West Kano Schemes and South West Kano, Magwagwa Pilot and Wach Kano Irrigation Schemes. (2) state the measures, if any, that would have been taken to register these parcels of land to allocate them to individual private owners, and in cases where acquisition has already taken place, state measures put in place to compensate those whose land were taken away. (3) state plans in place, if any, to expand the schemes in Kisumu County for purposes of enhancing rice farming and crop cultivation for food security in this country."
