    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No. 53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Labour and Social Welfare regarding delayed payment of monies to the elderly persons under the Older Persons Cash Transfer (OPCT) Programme. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) State the reasons for inordinate delays in payment of monies to the elderly under the OPCT Programme (2) Outline any measures put in place by the Government to ensure timely disbursement of these funds to the elderly persons of this country. Mr. Speaker, sir, if you allow me, I have another Statement."
