    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me an opportunity to contribute to the Mung Beans Bill, 2022 brought by the Senator for Kitui County, Sen. Wambua. The mung bean is the green gram. So that we may move with the Kenyans who are following this debate, it is popularly known as ndengu . The mung bean is is very common in the drier parts of the country, especially Makueni, Kitui, Kajiado, coastal counties and dry parts of the country. It is a very rich source of proteins and it is used by many people as food. It can make quite a number of food substances such as soup."
