    "content": " Hon. Temporary Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT the Bill be amended by deleting clause 7. The Bill, as published, proposes that the Public Debt Management Office, which is under the Ministry for National Treasury and Economic Planning, will advise Parliament. We deleted clause 4 on the same basis. We propose to delete clause 7 so that Parliament remains independent and free to make decisions on public debt without interference from any other quarter. That is our responsibility as a House."
